Melanocortin Receptor Peptides

The compounds here are synthetic analogues or fragments of alpha-MSH, the 13-residue melanocyte-stimulating hormone, characterized by binding at one or more melanocortin receptor subtypes (MC1R through MC5R).

Melanotan I is a linear 13-residue analogue with Nle4 and D-Phe7 substitutions. Melanotan II is a cyclic heptapeptide closed by a lactam bridge, roughly 1,024 Da. PT-141 is the des-acetyl, free-acid analogue of Melanotan II, about 1 Da apart on mass spectrometry, which is why identity confirmation for these two relies on the full spectrum rather than nominal mass. KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH, Lys-Pro-Val.

Each product is lyophilized, supplied in sealed vials and independently tested for purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry, with certificates published on the product page as testing is completed. For Research Use Only.
