What is KPV peptide?
KPV peptide is the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH — lysine-proline-valine, residues 11 to 13 of the native tridecapeptide — supplied by HEEZ Research as a lyophilized powder for in vitro laboratory use. At three residues it is the smallest peptide in the HEEZ catalog.
How does KPV work?
KPV retains no melanocortin-receptor pharmacophore (the His-Phe-Arg-Trp core is absent), so in vitro it is studied as a separate entity from full-length α-MSH analogues and appears in assay work on receptor-independent mechanisms.
